so long, farewell, Ås!!
well, well... its been a long time coming, but it still happened so quick - my time here at UMB in Ås has come to an end! and what a time it has been!!
im not sure what picture i should use to capture the moment... there've been a lot of last's here in the last couple days. but here..
our last get-together last night for my Bible study group here, which (among other people) has really been family while i've been here! david, debbie, trygve, zuzana, me, andrew and richard. it's been a good one, and i thank God tons for that!! (we really are as happy as we look in the picture!)
with the end of my time here and the help of a big sister... i realized too that as i've been seeking to "wherever i am, to be all there" while i've been here, and really make norway my home and my life, i forgot that even while God's blessed me with a really really incredible life full of "family", friends, community, fun, adventures, good classes, and all sorts of good things here in Ås... i've neglected that He's also given me a really incredible life back home - home in canada - with lots of important people and relationships!! and i'm still living that life now while i'm here. sometimes it's a struggle feeling like im trying to keep up with 2 lives at the same time... and given that, sometimes (actually, all the time!) it's not possible to do everything to the full, but all of it - together - IS my life! so a very big sorry to all you guys back home that have not been getting emails from me for awhile... i *have* been neglecting you guys more than i've been meaning to!
on that note though, i have more to say but it'll hafta wait... i'm leaving Ås, but im still in norway for 2 more weeks.. we're leaving in a half hour for a road trip (and then moving to france.. more about that later!) which means i wont be able to be emailing for at least the next little bit... so please forgive me in advance for being MIA!
but... TWO WEEK ROAD TRIP TO THE NORTH OF NORWAY... is going to be GRAND. it'll be me, and some really good friends - debbie, joffe and laurent the 2 canadian girls with a norwegian and a frenchie (which will make a perfect lil transition for moving to france!).. and we're driving all the way up (hopefully) to the northernmost city in the world. which people think is Nordkapp but is actually something else i can't remember the name of right now on zero hours of sleep last night... but yah, it'll be fun! i always wanted to see the midnight sun... and from what i've heard, we're passing the arctic circle pretty quick, so i'll be getting more than just 24 hours of daylight... it'll be more like two weeks!!
anyways, it might be a little while, but you will hear from me again, so don't worry, i'm still alive... and well!! have an awesome next little bit and we'll talk again soon!!

its so ridiculous to think that your time in Norway is done. It seems like yesterday (so cliché, I know) that we were in our appartment in Montreal talking about how you'd be all over the world this year. Love you muchly and safe travelling!

*tear* it's been great walking thru As with you in the past few months...the time has really flown by! it's been amazing to read about the friendships you've developed, the places you've been able to see, and the food you've been able to cook! i can't wait to see pics of your roadtrip to the Arctic Circle! you've now motivated me even more so (although i've wanted to go for awhile now!) to head down to Tierra del Fuego in Chile (the SOUTHERN most point in the world!) just so you and i can have one more opposite thing in common :) love ya!
